LUNG CANCER STAGE 3 A
I have posted on this site before i have found response very minimal for the amount of cancer suffering support to people very mimiimal maybe people are scared but it is great to share similar experience to know we are not only 1 experiencing this .as i have said before my father has stage 3a cancer luckily he is young 63 very strong tumor and lymph nodes have reduced but his cycle of chemo and radium is very aggressive this time he has had alot of setbacks this time but with his stage of cancer oncologist has told him he is in the long term survival rate of 10 per cent dat do survive in long term thank god. Ihope this helps
Hi Flo thanks for your reply. As you have said we have to keep communication lines open so people know they are not alone. His chemo and radium are ongoing until sep 5th.He will be left alone for about 3 to4 wks then be scanned and hope radium and chemo have down ther job. So wish him luck and lets hope for the best.
Regards Lisa

Hi Lisa,
I had lung cancer stage 2. I had a lobectomy and chemo for 3 months.
That will be 2 years in October. I also could not find much info so I ended up on
a US based website which I found very helpful.
If I can be of any help to you and your dad drop me a mail and i will reply asap.
I hope he is feeling well I know what he is going through, and you also as it is very hard for care givers.
regards
Niall

Hi Lisa,
Sorry you did not get a response to your previous post on this site. It is not as active as some other sites I have seen but I think if we keep posting, it will encourage others to use this great facility and help the community to grow. This is the only IRISH support site that I know of so I think it is very important that we have it.
Good to hear that your Dad has responded to treatment and his lymph nodes have reduced. Hopefully this will continue. Is his chemo and radiotheraphy still ongoing?
Regards,
Flo.
