Dear Vivienne Thank you for your post. I am very sorry to hear of your mothers diagnosis. This must be a very such a difficult time for you and your family. If you would like to chat with a nurse, you can call the Cancer Nurseline on 1800 200 700, we would be happy to discuss and can help you find some local supports. Hi Vivienne
I was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer in October 2017, it has spread to my bones. I have 3 children in their 30s and I know how scary it must be.
It's good that your Mum is strong but I think it's okay for you to be scared, it's devastating news. If you can't find other people to relate to on here, I know there is free counselling for families of cancer patients in most local Cancer Support groups.
Be gentle with yourself xxx
