Radation side effects
Hey everyone. I hope you are all keeping well.
I started radiotherapy 8 weeks late due to a bad infection and poor healing.
I am only four days in and my nipple is very sore and breath is very red. Is this normal so fast?

Hi Dawnlouise,
I had a similar experience during my radiotherapy after a few days, I seen the registrar on day 4 and he told me it can sometimes happen, we never know how our skin will react. I am now 6 weeks post radio and my skin is finally starting to heal after 2 weeks of dressings. Its no harm to check in with the doctor on site (if there is one) for reassurance but it does get better over time 😊

Also, are you using E45 moisturiser? I applied this straight after each session and it helped to soothe the area
