Expander moving???

Last reply: 15 March 2013 17:30

Hi All, quick question for anyone who had an implant or expander fitted. I feel like one of mine has slipped slightly off my chest wall. It seems to have moved about an inch off centre, but I can't tell if it was always like that or if I am being paranoid! I have a little bit of pain there, but I am full of aches and pains. Just wondering if anyone else had an expense like this?? Not sure if this is something that I should be concerned with or if anything can really be done anyway Image removed.
Thanks ladies!

I have always felt my expander is a bit too far to the right and I am constantly aware of my arm rubbing against it, which I never had from my breast, however it is much harder than breast tissue so that is probably why I notice it more. I don't think it has ever moved 'though.
I do get pain regularly, sometimes it seems to be under it on the chest wall and sometimes at the side of it. I was told at the clinic that it's normal, probably due to the scar tissue round it, and not to worry!

Hi Ania,
Haven't noticed my expander moving - though still feel its much too high compared to the other breast. Still hoping that gravity will bring it down as without a bra it looks fairly ridiculous now. Will definitely have to explore getting the other boob lifted otherwise...
Would you not give your plastic surgeon a call to check if that is normal - especailly if its painful.....
