Parodit tumor

Last reply: 11 March 2025 15:06

Hi all

I had a parotdiectomy nearly five weeks ago. Biopsy before operation was inconclusive. Another biopsy done after the surgery. I was meant to get biopsy results last week but they were not ready. So today I was meant to get them and again cancelled as they need to get a second opinion. Is this a red flag for me?

Dear ‘bananas1’

Thank you for posting your message on our online community.

It is very understandable that this is a very anxious time for you.   Most tumours of the adrenal glands are called adenomas. These are not cancer they are benign. However it sounds like your team are being very thorough in getting a second opinion.

It would be good to hear more detail from you on our support line. Our number is 1800 200 700 and we are here Mon-Friday 9-5pm . We are all cancer nurses here and we would very much like to support you at this time.

Kind regards

Cancer Nurse
