Research Awards 2022

It is that time of year again where we start planning our Research Awards! Despite the ongoing pandemic still affecting our lives, all of our researchers have worked really hard to drive forward important cancer research all across the country. We are so proud of our researchers, and as part of that we want to recognise all the great work via our Research Awards 2022. The Awards will take place on 24th February 2022 at 6pm with in person/virtual to be determined depending on the government guidelines nearer to the time.

This year we are excited to announce four main categories, including our new inaugural PPI Champion in Research award. We welcome your nominations by using the individual forms below.

Our PhD Scholar of the Year Award: This year to shortlist for PhD Scholar of the Year, a judging panel will score the lay summaries from the most recent report or application submitted by each of our PhD Scholars in 2021, scores will be compiled and the top 3 highest ranking Scholars will be picked as our finalists. All finalists will be notified via email in due course, and will be invited to present on the night.

Senior Researcher of the Year Award (post-PhD researcher): This award is to recognise the significant contribution that a senior researcher has had on the Irish cancer research landscape in 2021.
