The Hurling for Cancer Research charity match, run annually by the legendary racehorse trainer Jim Bolger and the two-time National Hunt champion jockey Davy Russell, has raised more than €1m for the Irish Cancer Society’s vital cancer research in its 8-year history.

We’re Coming Back in 2023!

Following the success of the event's return from the two-year break, Hurling For Cancer Research is coming back in 2023! This is your chance to rub shoulders with celebrities from sports and entertainment all whilst making a difference. Purchase your tickets online or make a donation direct to Hurling For Cancer Research and help support a great cause. All funds from the sale of tickets and donations will go directly towards funding vital cancer research, bringing us closer to a future free from cancer.

Since then, the event has helped raise in excess of €1.1 Million towards an overall investment from the Irish Cancer Society of €30 Million in life-changing clinical trials and cutting-edge cancer research studies. Each year the Society funds over 100 cancer researchers across Ireland, thanks to the support of events such as Hurling For Cancer Research.

After taking a break for two years we will now welcome back celebrities from sports and entertainment to participate in front of a crowd of eager spectators at St. Conleth's Park on the 21st of August at 6.00 pm.
