New breast lump

Last reply: 22 November 2022 14:20
I found a lump in my breast 8 days ago. I was referred to my local breast clinic. I was told if they think it's urgent I will be seen in 6weeks. If they decide its not urgent I will have to wait up to 12 weeks. I cannot sleep with the worry. I am a Mum with young children. My arm on the same side as the lump is very weak and heavy. Is this something I should be worried about in relation to the lump? Thank you

Found a very small lump in breast

Last reply: 22 June 2022 15:53
Hi, Last week I got a shooting pain in my right breast, as I was reaching for the pain to ease it, I found a small pea size lump/shape. I am not even sure you would call it a lump, but it is small like a pea and hard. It does not move and is in the area close to the nipple (does not feel close to the surface if you understand). If you press in you can feel the small hard piece. My other breast does not feel like this and I have never felt this before ( I am 34). The shooting pain is gone but I have had a small amount of soreness/pain or discomfort in my breast since. I have made an appointment to see my GP this week, I guess I am feeling nervous, I don't want to be wasting a doctors time but at the same time I don't want to ignore it. Is a physical exam from the GP enough to know something or should a scan or something be done to properly determine what it is? Thanks to anyone who reads and I completely understand if there is not enough time to respond to my query.

Lip growth

Last reply: 12 May 2022 16:58
I was with a cosmetic doctor yesterday getting some treatments done and in passing mentioned a lump(white flat) that I had on my lip. Have had it years (5+)but recently it's been crusting and getting bigger. He said he thought it was pre cancerous or early cancer. He decided to cryo it on the spot and told me to go back to him in two weeks. I'm now so so worried. He's not a specialised dermatologist and I'm concerned that maybe a biopsy should of been done. I can't stop googling and really cannot cope right now.

No doctor on the oncology ward now. Referred to A&E which I don’t see as viable. Just don’t know what I’m dealing with. Thanks

Breast clinic appointment

Last reply: 13 February 2022 11:50
Hello, I am 45 yr old female and recently found a lump in my breast and went straight to my GP who sent a referral to the Breast Clinic in St. James. I'm finding it difficult to think about anything also and feeling very stressed. Just wondering if anyone can give me an indication of the wait times for an appointment. Many thanks.

What’s your BC story?

Last reply: 26 January 2022 20:59
So breast cancer? I’m currently awaiting my triple assessment but have a strong family history so I’m quite concerned . I have a lump above the nipple about 2cm deep enough down and my breast is leaking a creamy to cloudy discharge the past while. Just wondering what symptoms you all had before your diagnosis ? I know everyone’s journey is different but I’m just curious Thank you

Help! Cancer suspected!

Last reply: 28 November 2021 21:16
Hi all, I attended the A&E about 3 months ago because of a hard lump and pain in my neck and my voice is hoarse too. The doctor told me they suspect cancer and are concerned for me and they needed to see me within 2 weeks but I later received an appointment letter for 4 months time. My pain got worse and I started losing weight unexplainably and feeling generally unwell. GP later sent me for an ultrasound which showed a solid nodule in my thyroid. He sent the hospital a letter for me to be seen urgently but no word yet. Prior to this, I have suffered from an undiagnosed severe abdominal pain and constipation for 5 years and colon polyps were found over 2 years ago. Please can anyone advise me on what to do because I think I am having a serious health issue that needs an urgent medical attention. Thanks!

Tamoxifen- Nausea & headace

Last reply: 06 November 2021 01:48
Hi, I just started Tomoxifen a month ago. Side effects not too bad so far except for a bit of nausea in the mornings. Occasionally I have really sharp shooting pains in my head. Anyone else experience similar symptoms and any remedies that might have helped? Also, apart from grapefruit is there any other foods I should avoid while on this treatment? Thank you 🙏🏻🥰
