I jinxed myself, hair falling out again :-(

Hi all!
My hair fell out when I was on AC but started growing back once I finished it and continued to grow once I started taxol. It's currently just over an inch in length and I've been moaning about how ridiculous it looks for the past week or two because it just stands up and is too short to style. I had my 10th taxol on Friday and yesterday and today I've started noticing that it seems to be falling out again...hairs on my hand when I run it through my hair etc. Did this happen to anyone else? I'm really hoping that it's just my hair thinning but I'm really worried it's falling out. I've another 2 taxol to go so I'm thinking that even if it doesn't fall out over the next few days, the next two sessions will definitely finish it off. I thought I'd be ok if it fell out again and I really didn't mind when it fell out the first time but I'm really gutted at the thoughts of it again. I'd really started thinking that it was staying and was looking forward to it getting a bit longer.
I'm scared to brush my hair or go have a shower in case I make it worse Image removed.

Hi Newtothis

Sorry you might be loosing your one inch locks again.....

Am I correct in remembering that there was a gap between you finishing AC and starting Taxol with you being pregnant??? If yes, then you treatment might be a little bit different to most others so it might be hard to get an exact steer.

My hair on my head started growing back on Taxol (I went straight from AC to T) but I lost my eye brows and lashes towards the end of taxol.

Some people dont start the regrowth until they are finished all the chemo....so it is really different strokes for different folks.

Hoping that most of yours will stay. Honest it wont be long before you finish taxol and it starts growing back anyhow.

Good luck with the last two sessions.

Hi there

I'm on 3rd AC and had my head shaved before my hair fell out. But have noticed that I didn't lose all my hair and what managed to hold on seems to be getting longer and is not loose! I assumed it would have all gone at this stage but as you say everybody seems to be different.

I am starting on taxol after AC and noticed that you both have been on the same. Just wondered what to expect from taxol. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it's bettered than the AC. I've read a lot of people saying that it's easier. I was wondering what your experience has been between the 2. I hope your hair holds tight. Thanks

Two weeks later and my hair is still hanging in, it's still shedding but I've still a full head of hair. Hopefully it's just normal thinning that I've read about or post baby shedding. Fingers crossed it stays put and my final two sessions don't kill it off completely!

My hair started growing back while I was on Taxol and I was so delighted not to be bald anymore. Once I finished my 12th Taxol it started really growing but I was NOT prepared to lose my eyebrows completely after finishing taxol!! That said they grew back really quickly so I panicked needlessly!! So don't panic if it happens to you...they will grow back really quickly.

I still have a little neuropathy 3 months later in my toes but fingers crossed this will go as time goes on!!

Good luck...
