Radiotherapy side effect

Last reply: 17 June 2025 16:30
I have just finished 20 sessions of radiotherapy. My nipple, which was always inverted seems to have some discharge coming from the inverted part which is yellow in colour. It's only a small amount and I just wondered is this normal?

Exercise during Treatment

Last reply: 17 June 2025 16:17
Hi, I was just wondering has any used a personal trainer located in Dublin 3/5/9 during treatment or post treatment? I'm having 5/6 TCHP today and hopefully last one will be end of June. Then radiation to follow.

Puckering as main symptom

Last reply: 09 May 2025 21:23
Good afternoon everyone, I am sorry if this is the wrong place to ask. I recently found puckering on my breast. I went to GP and she was also able to feel a small lump but she said it is mobile. I have been referred to my local hospital for further tests but am waiting for the appointment. I am very much the type of person who can handle whatever is thrown once I have all the details. The waiting, as it is for everyone, is dreadful. The uncertainty is what is messing with my head. I have of course headed to Google and the other reasons don't seem to apply to me. Fibro adenoma is not something I have ever had to worry about and I am over 50 so it seems less likely. Can I ask if anyone had puckering that turned out to be benign?

Radation side effects

Last reply: 17 April 2025 11:45
Hey everyone. I hope you are all keeping well. I started radiotherapy 8 weeks late due to a bad infection and poor healing. I am only four days in and my nipple is very sore and breath is very red. Is this normal so fast?

Radiotherapy side effects

Last reply: 03 April 2025 17:09
I am 3 weeks post radiotherapy for breast cancer, chemotherapy was not required based on my diagnosis. My breast is still very painful and very irritated and I am continuing to use E45 cream 3 times a day, I have been told to stop using the hydrocortosine cream. I was wondering if anyone else has had similar side effects and how long they last. I was told 2 (ish) weeks but nearly at 4 weeks now, I understand everyone is different but its very uncomfortable. I've contacted the radiotherapy unit and they said its normal but if it persists this week I'll need to go back.. Thanks so much in advance

Last reply: 18 March 2025 14:33
Hi, I’m over 2.5 years post lumpectomy, and some lymph nodes removed, 2 years post chemo and almost 2 years post radiotherapy….i get some pain now and again in my breast, almost like a hot burning feeling…..is this normal to have after 2 years? I would also have some discomfort in my arm pit.

Breast biopsy

Last reply: 22 February 2025 16:17
Hi All, I had an appointment yesterday for an ultrasound on a breast lump I found. I have a history of fibroadenomas, so I assumed it would just be that. They ended up taking a biopsy on the new lump, but the Dr was really reassuring and said he is certain it's nothing, but he said he would biopsy it so I can just have the reassurance and forget about it. He said the results usually take 2-3 weeks, probably 3 for me as he's certain it'll be nothing. I am wondering what are people's experience with timeframes following a biopsy? I am planning on starting medication for frozen embryo transfer this week, which he said he wouldn't change my plan based on what he seen on scan. So that's why I am a bit anxious with regards to the timeframe. I would obviously want the reassurance before the actual transfer. Also how do they usually give results? Would it be over the phone? He didn't exactly say. Thanks in advance!
