TCHP CHEMO

Last reply: 19 October 2020 16:03

Hi. I just want to hear of other peoples experiences with TCHP chemo.

I'm day 10 after my first round and my heartrate increases every few hours. It makes me feel very anxious. Professor Walsh did say it could happen but does anyone know if this will continue to happen through out treatment?

Hi just_me,

Thanks for posting and I’m sorry that you haven’t had any replies yet.  I hope you are now feeling better and that your treatment is going well otherwise. It is understandable to feel anxious when you have an increased heart rate.  Although Professor Walsh said it could happen, we would recommend getting in touch to let your consultant or their nurse specialist know that you have experienced this side effect.  They may want to monitor how you are doing.  Please do not hesitate to contact us to speak with a cancer nurse on our support line – 1800 200 700 for any further advice or support.

Kind regards,

Cancer nurse.
