Hi, I’m just wondering anyone who was diagnosed with Stage 1 breast cancer if you had any other tests/scans such as bone scan, cat scan, mri etc??

Hi twig88

The first time I was diagnosed with stage 1 cancer I had a CT scan and a bone scan as I had cancer in my lymph nodes. I was recently diagnosed with stage 1 cancer for the second time in a different beast to the one before I didn't have a CT scan or a bone scan. This time there wasn't lymph node involvement so the scans weren't necessary.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes

Hi twig88,

I was only diagnosed on May 30 after 5 biopsy’s. I am having an MRI tomorrow to determine the size (both breasts will be looked at). The results from the MRI determine whether I have a lumpectomy or Masectomy.

Hi Twig88, I was diagnosed with Stage 1 last year, no lymph nodes involved, I had a bone density scan which I believe is done when you start on Letrozole. No MRI or CT scans. Hope you keep well & the other ladies that replied also x
