Breast Cancer

Last reply: 01 December 2015 23:05

My 34 year old daughter was diagnosed with breast cancer last week. Her chemo starts in December and I wonder could anyone help me with where to go for wigs and head gear . I would appreciate any help anyone can offer.

Sorry to hear about your daughter. Where abouts are you based for wig shopping? There are some good online sites for scarves, annabandana.co.uk are good and have cheap headscarves. There's also a good facebook site, the younger breast cancer network. Its for women diagnosed with breast cancer before age 45, it has private groups for posting and getting advice, there's an irish regional group too. If your daughter is on facebook, she can message them to join the private groups and noone outside them can see what she posts. It's a tough few months, but they fly by amazingly quickly and she'll be through it before long.
