Hi chellh,

Thank you for posting to our online community. I am sorry to hear of your mam’s recent diagnosis of multiple myeloma (MM). I hope she is doing ok.

It must be difficult for you living a distance away when you want to be there for her, however you are still supporting her by being at the end of the phone and providing a listening ear. I have attached some information here that links supports available to your mam for those times when you can’t be there, but also may be useful for you as you deal with your mam’s diagnosis.

I hope this information helps, but if you or your mam would like to speak with a cancer nurse you can call our Supportline on 1800 200 700 Mon to Fri 9am to 5pm.

Kind regards,

Cancer Nurse
