Hi Georgie123,

There are a couple of older threads you might find useful. In general Taxol is pretty well tolerated. I didn't have Herceptin myself but from what I read here it is not too difficult.

Regular exercise (building up slowly) is a big help in so many ways

Best of luck with your treatments.

Thanks Kath,
Lots of good vibes on the posts. Have had quite an easy time on AC treatment and was expecting not to have it so easy on my next session. Looks like the next stage my road trip is not gonna be so bumpy after all. How fortunate Image removed.

Take care

Georgie

Hi Georgie,
Glad AC went so well for you, it makes the experience easier to deal with when things go right - and hopefully they should continue to do so for you.
Taxol was not a bother for me at all - I had it every week for 11 weeks - I was meant to have it for 12 weeks but the soles of my feet started to feel funny & stingy so they postponed giving it to me for a couple of weeks and ten decided not to give me the last one at all. Other than that it was grand, I was tired mind you. Then I had radiotherapy and after that I was on Herceptin every three weeks for 17 sessions. That was fine too, and I gave a stab at going back to work in the middle of that treatment. Again, I was wiped out for a few days after treatment day but I think that was to do with the Puritin they gave to prevent any adverse reactions. The big thing that worries them about people on Herceptin is it can affect the heart, but you go for an echocardiogram every couple of months.
I hope this has been of help to you, hopefully you will be ok too.

Take care & hope the recovery continues well x
