Ribioclib experiences

Last reply: 09 July 2024 10:37

Hi Everyone, I was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer just before Christmas. My secondary is in my pelvic bone. Started on hormone therapy & ribioclib. So far I've had 5 cycles of ribioclib and it's been great. No major side effects. Would love to heat other people's experience, in particular how long it worked for you, and what treatment was recommended after ribioclib. Thanks

Hi dee2024.

Thank you for posting on our online community. I am sorry to read of your diagnosis. We wish you the very best with your treatment.

I hope you will hear from others here in a similar situation. Meanwhile, I am wondering would you find it helpful to speak to one of our trained Peer-to-Peer volunteers who is also on a targeted therapy similar to ribioclib. There are a number of ladies trained to provide support who have stage 4 breast cancer. It can be very supportive to speak to someone in similar circumstances but as you can imagine the details of everyone’s cancer will vary and it will only be your oncologist who could advise you on what other treatments you might benefit from in the future.

To arrange to speak to one of our Peer-to-Peer volunteers just phone our support line and speak to a cancer nurse and we will set this up. Our number is 1800 200 700 & we are here Mon-Friday 9-5pm

I do hope we will hear from you Dee.

Kind regards

Cancer Nurse
