Hi happymum,

You can ask your consultant for all that information, in comes in the form of a histology report. This gives you size, grade, stage, whether it is metastasised or not. This is also sent to your GP where you can get a copy. It does take time to grade and stage. Usually the stage occurs after Ct scan, bone scan, MRI and other test to see if cancer has spread to other parts. The grading is done when the tissue is examined after surgery, or through biopsy. So maybe your surgeon hasn't gathered all the necessary information for you yet? I had all that info before I met my oncologist, it was given to me by breast surgeon and I also got my histology report from my GP. Hope that helps and you get all the information you need are entitled to know very soon.

Take care happymum!
