Bladder cancer

Last reply: 18 May 2015 23:42

Hi I was wondering if there is anyone else on this site who has been diagnosed with bladder cancer? I'm feeling pretty peeved that as someone who has never taken drugs, doesn't smoke, hardly ever drinks, leads a healthy.lifestyle with exercise; I should get this. To say I was gobsmacked is an understatement.

Dear Polly 53,
Thank you for you post. I’m sorry to hear that you have been diagnosed with bladder cancer. I can understand that this may feel a shock for you when you didn’t have any of the risk factors that may be associated with it. I hope that you will hear from another poster soon but in the mean time we would encourage you to call us here on the National Cancer Helpline and you can talk to a Cancer Information Nurse who may be able to discuss this more and support you further. Our lines are open Mon-Thurs 9am -6pm and until 5pm on a Friday.
Kind regards ,
Cancer Information Nurse

Thank you for your reply. At the moment I'm waiting for the results of a biopsy. I'm hoping for good news.
