Dear Roslynroad,

I am sorry to learn of your brother’s diagnosis of lung cancer. It must be all very stressful having gone through chemotherapy and now he is for radiotherapy. I trust he responds well.

Eating a well balanced diet is important, even in small amounts. It involves good nutrition in right amounts. These include proteins, fats, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals. It can help you to feel better, keep up your strength, tolerate drugs and cope with side effects and recover faster.

Here is a link to one of our booklets “Diet and Cancer” and information on herbs and other products in PDF :

Please feel free to talk to our specialist nurses in confidence on the Freefone Helpline Mon – Thur 9am -7pm and Fri 9am – 5pm.

I hope you find this helpful.

With Kind regards,
Cancer Information Service Nurse.
