Hello,

Do you have counselling for carers of people with cancer or do you know of any free services providing same?

Many thanks.

Hi Brightonblue,

Thank you for contacting the Irish Cancer Society.

The Irish Cancer Society offers free counselling to anyone who has been impacted by cancer including people with a cancer diagnosis, their family members, partners, carers and friends.  This service can be accessed through local cancer support groups or through our remote counselling service. The emotional side of cancer can have a huge impact on people, a trained counsellor can help you make sense of your feelings. I have attached a link to our webpage on counselling here.

The person seeking counselling will need to contact us directly on the Support Line, Freephone 1800 200 700 and we can help arrange this.

Kind regards,

Cancer Nurse
