Waiting till appointment

Last reply: 05 October 2020 12:10

Hi all, I just had two freckles removed this week and already received a letter to get the results at the end of the month. As I went through this before 3 years ago my nerves are getting the better of me. Is the appointment standard for both good and news? Last time was bad news but early stages.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Scott,

Thanks for posting.  It is understandable to feel worried when waiting for test results, especially that you had bad news previously.  It is standard practice to have an appointment to get results after having a mole or freckle removed for both good and bad news.  If you are feeling worried or anxious, it helps to talk. Please do not hesitate to contact us on 1800 200 700 if you would like to speak with a cancer nurse.

Kind regards,

Cancer nurse.
