I am 3 years post radiation, 18 months post hormone therepy, after HT my PSA was .025 I rose over the next 12 months to .82 then three months later for the first time it stabelised at .82 Three months later it doubled to 1.67 In the last three months it has dropped to 1.0 not due back to my consultant until Febuary. Is this normal ??? With all the variations I am getting confused.

Starting PSA 20

Dear Jim,

I hope that you will hear from other posters on the message board soon. The follow up of the PSA after treatment can come with its own complexities and can be confusing in trying to interpret the significance of the result.

I would suggest that you call us on the National Cancer Helpline 1800 200 700 our lines are open from 9am to 7pm Monday to Thursday and 5pm on Friday where we may be able to advise you further.
