Waiting for scan results

I had an MRI scan last Thursday which was about 2 months overdue -I am being monitored after having breast cancer last year -my question is how long is it usually before you get the results

Thanks for posting. I’m sorry to read that you were diagnosed with breast cancer last year and I hope you are feeling well in yourself after treatment. Generally it will be two to three weeks before you get the scan results. Your consultant or their nurse should contact you when they are available.
It can be really tough waiting for test results, please do not hesitate to contact the support line to speak with a cancer nurse on 1800 200 700 for any support or advice, we are open from 9am to 8pm Monday to Thursday and 9am – 5pm Friday to Sunday,
