What is going on
Anyone ever experienced pain going through the nipple in left breast. Up most nights with discomfort and pain. Seeing Consultant Friday after mammagram done three weeks ago and received no results yet in Beaumont?

Just to let you all know that my mammogram came back clear and was told that the pain is either hormonal or muscular since nothing showed up on the scan. I am over the moon but need to get pain sorted. Anyone out have any good medication for this type of pain as I am already taking evening primrose capsules and neurogen. Delighted for you. I don't know what to recommend for the pain, I only ever take paracetamol, hope it clears up soon for you.

It is it is probably benign as most cancers do not cause pain (or so I am told) Three weeks seems a long time to wait for results of mammo, but They would probably have called you in sooner if they had found anything so try not to worry.
I am going through a series of tests at the moment because I have pain behind my left nipple and it has inverted. The consultant thinks it is probably duct ectasia, (a benign condition which I googled and is nothing to worry about) but wants to be sure as my cancer (right side) first showed up as an inverted nipple. I have had Mammo, ultrasound and MRI so far all clear, but have to have a core biopsy to be sure because of my history.
