No lump in breast

Last reply: 20 May 2021 21:52

Hi I'm currently waiting biopsy results. I had a dull pain in my left breast and went the doctor. There was no lump but he sent me for mammogram to be cautious. The mammogram showed something they think might be a radial scar but ultrasound was clear. The doctor said she is nearly sure it's the radial scar but I needed a biopsy to check. I'm up the walls now waiting for results. Do they tell you that they think it's ok just so you don't worry or would they tell you it's serious. I'm so worried about results.

Hi jane456

I discovered a lump last August in my left breast and was referred for a mammogram and a ultrasound. As I had complained of pain under my arm when I had my first appointment with my Breast Surgeon they also scanned under my arm and discovered a small lump there. After the scan and biopsy I felt upset as it was a shock and I asked the nurse if it meant that I had Cancer and she told reassured that it would probably be fine.

Wishing you the best of luck for your results.

Best wishes

Jenni453 did they do the biopsy the first day you went in? I had to wait nearly two weeks for biopsy x

That must have been frightening to get the biopsy when you didn't expect it. I hope all goes well for you with results xxx

Thanks. Unfortunately I was diagnosed with Triple negative Breast cancer in September 2020. I had eight sessions of chemo and an operation. There was still some cancer left in one of the nodes that he took from under my arm so I am on a further course of chemo but in tablet form. I will also be starting radiotherapy tomorrow to get rid of any stray cancer cells. Luckily the cancer hasn't spread beyond my breast and that one lymph node.

Best wishes
