I'd give doc or cancer nurse a ring. Shingles do come from chicken pox ? I was terrified I'd get them when I was having chemo as you are prone to them when you're immune system is down. Best ask the experts I'd say they'd know

Yip it's chicken pox. He is in great form. Temp is fine and giving him oatmeal baths. I can only imagine my daughter will get it too.
Rang the hospital today and they didnt seem that bothered once I had chicken poxs. Already. They said its shingles is the biggest risk.

Hello Superwhy!

About three weeks after my surgery, I developed a really itchy/sore rash on the same side (as my surgery) and the doc thought it was shingles.. She gave me cream which worked really well and after about five days I was sorted.. I'm still not sure whether it was shingles although it was painful but maybe that was just from the surgery Image removed. She said also that because our imune systems are low, we are at a much higher risk of shingles??
