Yes I'd like to thank all my friends here for being such a great support to me. I'm due for my last chemo next Monday and looking forward to a great 2013. My husband has booked us a weeks cruise in may from Venice and we will so enjoy it. I am here for all who are still going to be going through chemo in 2013 or who haven't started yet. You'll get there, I did. Love you all and happy Christmas and here's to a better 2013

Happy Christmas girls!
Would never have guessed in a million years that this Christmas I would have breast cancer - here I am with my bald head and one boob and 6 months of treatment ahead of me.....
but you know what, I'm going to make it the best Christmas ever - my illness has defintely brought out the best in everyone around me - I feel really blessed that I have such a great family and lots of fab friends Image removed.
One of my best friends sent me a poem/blessing this morning which I would love to share with you all:

[i:9s31g8bo]When the reverberations of shock subside in you
May grace come to restore you to balance
May it shape a new space in your heart
To embrace this illness as a teacher
Who has come to open your life to new worlds.

May you find in yourself
A courageous hospitality
Towards what is difficult
Painful and unknowm

May you learn to use this illness
As a lantern to illuminate
The new qualities that will emerge in you.[/i:9s31g8bo]

Here's to a heatlher 2013!

Happy Christmas one and all. Had a very early christmas gift or actually 2. Met Dee at St Vincents last week - lovely surprise. 2nd gift have been given all clear from bone secondaries to ribs. Only have very painful fractured ribs (from treatment) but thankfully after weeks and months of waiting the news I was waiting for.

Can't say I am sad to see the back of 2012. It has been hell but please God I will be here for my family in 2013. Last chemo of this year on the 27th, could it be my last one ...... not going to jinx it by even wishing for that. Burnt to a crisp from RT but hay goes with my new curly very short grey hair!!!

Happy Christmas ladies and the best to you all for 2013.

Neadi, delighted you got out of hospital. Take it easy Mrs and let everyone else pamper you over the next few days.

Dane, that is super news that there are no secondaries. You might remember I had something similar which ended up as a fracture too. I was never so delighted to have a fracture and am sure same goes for you. Take it easy.

Happy Christmas to the rest of the gals on here and may 2013 bring a return to good health for us all.
