Meet up??? Great idea!!!!
Just saw on the threads here that somebody suggested a meet up??
Why not??
We've shared so much and gotten so much support that I think a meet up would be great!!!!
Any ideas or suggestions?? We could do something during the Warmer months and when some of us are a bit further along in our treatment. A lunch or a dinner nothing too much!
What do we think???

Would love to meet up. I live out in the sticks (near Birr) but can get to Dublin for 11:30 on a bus to meet for lunch - would need a bed for the night if going out in the evening!

Afternoon tea or lunch would be better for me, because I don't live in Dublin either.
Well why dont we try to find sonewhere in the middle of everyone- we'll get a general consensus!! Maybe somewhere in Kildare or any other suggestions???

That is a mighty idea. I would love to meet up and put faces to all the wonderful army of supporters on this site. A nice lunch and a glass of vino would be so relaxing and fun. We all deserve lots of fun this year xxx

Yay I'm so excited.Had pondered suggesting a meet before but always deleted the post!!maybe there was a reason I didn't last night.I think we should definitly do this.Afternoon tea ahem wine or lunch would be great for a first meeting I think.we should all decide on a month then go from there.im up for any time.

THat would be great girls - seems like we are all a bit all over the place (ha ha whats new) dont know if there are so many Dublin ladies? I'm in Kildare, mentioend earlier, Birr, Tipp, I know three are in Wicklow? Girls I got an F in geography in most of my exams in school - so dont think I'd be good at picking a place.
How about a Month first? March is a bit mad with Paddys, Easter etc. - just a suggestion - week after kids back in school after Easter HOls? or is that too far away? Or then again early March?
If anyone fancies a night to stay over no probs sure can find you a bed here...... then maybe my mind is running mad but hotels are so cheap now these days..... maybe we could have an overnighter? and a bit of WELL DESERVED R&R??? If you think its a bit much thats fine - I am that sort of person - any chance of getting away for a night I'M THERE!!!
I would be OK for week after kids go back to school after easter, and am fairly flexible on location.

Maybe some time in may?? I'm having chemo until the end of April (hopefully!!!!!!!) and I know April may not work for some still having chemo/ surgery etc.....
But if April is the general consensus- sure why not??
I'm potentially a yes. Am back at work (since Feb 2010 - it's like i never left!!!) tho have Mondays off that said if we had date in diary I would just take a days leave
Am Dublin but can travel.
Wonder if there is a hotel on or just off M4 or M7 that we could do a mid morning meet at. Somewhere that might have a quiet corner in a bar or in a lobby. Good scones would be a plus.
This might way WAY too sophisticated but the K Club has lovely cosy drawing rooms that could take a group of women like us and let us babble for a few hours over coffee, tea and scones.
