Medical Declaration

Last reply: 27 February 2014 11:29

Hi

Just wondering if anyone has a bit of advice or what did you do in this situation. I got my annual travel policy renewal form today and it says take note of the medical declaration and that a new medical declaration should be made each year. I feel if I state I have breast cancer they may not insure us. Also Im sure that if we were away on holidays I would not be claiming for anything to do with breast cancer so they would be none the wiser.

Thanks you all

Daffy

Have you breast cancer or had you breast cancer. If you don't have it anymore but are still having treatment you will be insured for all things unrelated to this, but if you've finished treatment then you should be fully covered. I'm now fully covered

Oh good for you, you are very welcome. I had a big holiday booked for my 50th in September 2012 and I was diagnosed in August 2012 so had to cancel and my insurance was out end of August. I got all but the excess back which was €100 and we had paid out nearly €4,000 . It was so easy to deal with them and thankfully didn't add any stress so when I was ready to holiday again I went straight back to that company as they treated me so well. Best of luck with your rads
