Last reply: 04 March 2013 18:29

Anyone on herceptin experienced runny nose sinusy type feeling? Just recall someone saying it. I've got it now just wondering is it the herceptin or just me?

I think mine is worst at the end of second week and into the third week. I can't go anywhere without tissues. It runs constantly!!! It can be really annoying! Some nights it easier to plug my nose, it gets that bad!

Oh I'm glad to hear that. I'm due in tomorrow for herceptin and I'm really bad today, havent stopped blowing all dayHoping it'll improve next week and hopefully I won't be too bad on holidays. They don't tell you that's a side effect.

Hi Wicklowlady,
My runny eye is the problem, people think I'm crying when I'm talking to them. Even need a tissue if I'm in the pub, I must look a bit weird sometimes Image removed. Have to say though it's not as bad now as it was when I was on chemo and for about 2 months after it. I like you am on herceptin until July. I mentioned it to my oncologist but she didn't recommend anything to ease it. Hopefully like me it will ease off for you soon as you are a while finished chemo. I'd gladly put up with a runny nose/eye than to go through chemo again !!
Bet you're very excited about your holiday Image removed.

I'm just back from the hospital and the nurse recommended anti histamine . I'm better today and as you say I'd put up with it too rather than go through chemo. Everything is relative to chemo . Yes really looking forward to it but have just seen on the news that there is unseasonal wind and rain in the canaries!!!! Better be gone by Saturday
