Hi emerbarry01

I got myself a couple of turbans from Hairless beauty which I found very comfortable to wear.

Wishing you the best of luck with your treatment.

Best wishes

Hi,

Thank you for posting on the online community.

If you feel that you might like a wig it is better to organise it before your hair falls out. I have attached a link to our page on daffodil centres here. The nurse in our nearest daffodil centre might be able to give you information about places which supply headwear and wigs near you.

If you would like more information, advise or support please feel free to call our Support Line and speak to a cancer nurse at Freephone 1800 200 700, Monday -Friday, 9am – 5pm.

 Kind Regards,

Cancer Nurse

I’ve used these lightweight neck warmers, you can wear them several different ways and other multipacks are available in different colours.

I used the cold cap and was lucky enough to hold on to just enough hair to have some peeking out from under the hat. I’d recommend wig shopping now before your hair starts falling out so if it comes to it you already have the decision made. Also, apply for a discretionary medical card to help with all the costs. Good luck!
