What a pity you didnt get a reply! Well I have just joined here and I will say I hope you have a great 2009.
I live in England but Irish origin and I have Grade 2 Breast Cancer and having mastectomy
in May. I have one more chemotherapy to go in April and that should be it.
I have had a rough time with it and been in hospital with low white blood cells twice
but on Taxotere now and had it reduced by 20% as it was very hard on me.
My hair has started to grow a little since I started Taxotere which is weird but good.
I have radiotherapy after surgery, then ovarian suppression either by injections or removal and finally tamoxifen for five years. Its a long drawn out thing and will be glad to get through it all. The chemo I think is probably the worst as I have been isolated at home in fear of infection. After this I can get out and about again.
I was diagnosed on 27th October last year so it will be a year before this is finished at least. I am attending an excellent hospital so I am in good hands.
How are you?!!!
