Grade 2 - 34 year old woman

Last reply: 13 September 2023 19:12

I am a 34 year old woman, I was diagnosed with grade 2 breast cancer yesterday. I am having surgery to have it removed next week.

I am expecting a call from the Cancer nurse tomorrow but I am just looking for suggestions for questions I should ask?

It doesn't look like I should need chemotherapy as of yet but I am aware that can change once they have a look at the lump and surrounding tissue once it's out.

Any suggestions welcome. Thank you.

Hi Sarah2023

Sorry to hear that you have been diagnosed with breast cancer. The type of questions you could ask are: How long will surgery take, will I have to stay in hospital overnight. What type of surgery am I having (though you may know this already), what side effects am I likely to get from surgery, how long will the results take to come back.

Wishing you the best of luck with your surgery.

Best wishes

Hello Jenni53,

Thank you for your reply. I didn't even think of side effects of the surgey, honestly I'm not thinking straight at all so thank you for your suggestions. Very much appreciated.
