D care trial

Last reply: 03 August 2012 21:10

Hi all
Is anyone else on this trial?
I'm due to get 1st injection today. I couldn't face it on day of chemo on wed. I feel so ick today I don't feel like it either. I'm told I'm the last person into the trial. Hard to make decisions about these things. I'm afraid to be in and I'm afraid to be out of trial. Anyone any thoughts

Am not on this one but am on another one called the SOFT trial - suppression of ovarian function. It is a large international trial with About 3000 or it it 5000 participants. I had heard about the trial and really wanted to get on it. It was a post chemo, post rads but I had to have period return before I could be accepted. I have never willed a period as much as I did that one!!

My philosophy re the trial was that I would be monitored more and absolutely would not be any worse off than if I did not do it. Of course the more people that enrolled in trials means the more the medics can learn about this blasted disease.

Hope you got the jab and it did not make you feel any worse off!
