Appointment times indicate results?

Last reply: 25 November 2019 22:02

Hi there.
I know this might sound silly but I'm just interested in what times people got for their biopsy results and what the outcome was. I was given a number to call last week and when I called I was told they were just discussing my case in a multidisciplinary meeting and I'd get an appointment to meet with the consultant this week. I got my letter today and I've been given a 3pm appointment. I'm wondering if it's bad news as the hospital would be quieter at that time.
I'm a nervous wreck.
Thanks x

I think that’s fairly standard. They all meet on a Friday so you’re getting lots of surgeons opinions, and I believe they call everyone in to deliver the results regardless. I was diagnosed at 6pm, I was last to be called in. Best of luck. X

Thank you for getting back to me. I have my appointment today so hopefully it'll be nothing to worry about. I just read somewhere that they leave the bad news until later in the day and I panicked.

I was diagnosed in the morning. I don't think it really indicates anything bad if it's later. How did your appointment go? I hope it was good news.
