Hi lemrac. Saw your post and had to reply. Sorry you've had a knock. Try not to lose hope, it's important to try to stay positive as hard as it is sometimes. There are new treatments coming on line all the time. My own father was told he was also running out of options, nothing had worked and there have been 2 new treatments come on line for his cancer that he has responded well to. So it does happen. Will be keeping fingers crossed for you on Wednesday as well and hoping this is the one that works for you

Hi lemrac,

Sorry to hear that different treatments haven't been working for you. I have stage 4 breast cancer and the last three scans have showed things getting worse. I was beginning to lose hope like you and I started a different chemo 3 months ago and I got great news 2 weeks ago saying things have improved!
I couldn't believe it as I had never been told that news, All I had been hoping for was that it would be stable and had not changed. So I'm on this chemo for the next 3 months. Its suiting me well and I feel good for the first time in about 6 months. Please don't worry about running out of options, my oncologist told me that there are loads of options, and also new drugs coming on the market every 3-4 months.

Fingers crossed this one works, were all so different. What works for you might not work for me and vice versa. I do know how you feel, its very easy to lose hope when you keep getting bad news.

Let us know how you get on

Thank you for all your kind and positive words. I have started my new chemo and feeling well. I spoke to my oncologist about how negative I was feeling and he assured me that there are plenty more options and that he is not worried about me. Keep up the prayers , you are all in mine.
