Found a lump.

Last reply: 26 July 2014 14:38

Hi everyone. For roughly 3 years now I've had a lump come from my back end everytime I defecate. I'm 18 now and getting fairly scared about it and was just wondering if anyone knows any thing that could be wrong with me?

Hi Cra17,
I'm not a medial person, so have no idea what it might be. However that isn't normal, so you *NEED* to have it checked out.....sooner!!

There's no need to be embarrassed by it...your G.P. will have seen it all before. I often say to my G.P. "I hope I'm wasting your time, but...."

If you don't have it seen to, the best outcome is that you will continue to worry about it and it sounds like it isn't something that will go away on it's own.

If you're worried about it being something serious, only your doctor can tell you that. Have it checked out ...PLEASE!!

If you like, talk to one of the nurses on the Freefone Helpline 1800-200-700. (Unfortunately, the helpline doesn't operate on weekends, or after 7pm)

Good luck with it!
MM

Hi
I am not an expert but this sounds like hemorrhoids/piles which are very common they are a varicose vein Google them. If you feel you are not ready to go to doctors at least go to a chemist that has a consulting room and speak to someone there as they will give you good advice. Good luck.
