Larynx

Last reply: 27 August 2015 10:02

I am living in Waterford, Co Kilkenny. I had a complete Laryngectomy (voicebox removed) in Oct 2010. I have had 6 weeks of radiotherapy treatment with ended at Easter.

Would like to communicate with anyone who has had this procedure.

Dear Chris,

I am sorry to hear of the difficult time that you are going through. If you do not hear from somebody who has had a laryngectomy through this message board you could ask your Speech and language therapist to arrange for you to communicate with someone.

Alternatively please see these links to some helpful websites:

Hi
I had a laryngectomy in 2007 and 30 day's of radiotherapy after
I just came across this site i didn't know there was one in Ireland
I would like to get in touch with other laryngectomees as there is not many of us about saying that every time i go for a check up there is always one or two about pity there is no meeting's for laryngectomees in Ireland like in the UK as i think the would be a great source of information for us
