Training tips for your Marathon in a Month
As part of our Marathon in a Month campaign, we talked to Mary Jennings, running coach and founder of ForgetTheGym to provide some training tips on getting your training started for your challenge.
Mary founded ForgetTheGym in 2007 to encourage people to get outdoors, get running and get motivated. She coaches runners of all levels to enjoy running.
Mary is also a regular contributor to The Irish Times. She believes that exercise should be fun, social, enjoyable and pain free. Mary has a keen interest in the psychology of exercise and recently completed her Msc in Sport and Exercise Psychology at University of Ulster.
As a keen long distance runner herself, Mary has completed over 40 marathons and ultra-marathons up to 100k in distance
