Getting Ready to Move

No more excuses

Without reason to get out and run/walk it’s easy to make excuses. As the days and weeks pass without activity, we lose our confidence, our motivation and our fitness levels. We forget how fabulous walking and running makes us feel. We may even feel a little guilty and jealous every time we see another runner/walker looking comfortable. The Marathon in a Month programme is the perfect kick start to help get you moving and motivated whilst helping a very worthy cause.

Making a commitment

We’re all guilty of it, spending our spare minutes scrolling through Facebook or flicking through TV channels.  If you want to feel more energetic and confident, you have to make a commitment to yourself to get moving! A great way to do this is to make an appointment for activity in your diary, or why not set a reminder on your phone?!  Setting aside 30 mins 3-4 times a week to get out and get your body moving will help you feel good whilst helping a great cause too!

Start small

Getting started is the hardest bit. The key to running/walking success is to start small and build up a routine from there. If exercise is too complicated or time consuming you’ll most likely give up.

Feeling better

We will be more productive, happy and energetic if we take a little bit of time to get moving, get active and get outdoors. This energetic atmosphere transfers to other areas in our lives. If you are feeling good, the mood is contagious and you can inspire others to get involved too.

Make the most of our days

It’s up to you to make the time to get active throughout the month and remember it’s all for a good cause too. It’s never too late to get started, no matter what stage in life you are at. Don’t put it off any longer… Let’s get up and go!!!
