Big Pink Breakfast ambassador 2025 - Katie

Thank you for your amazing support this October

To everyone who hosted a Big Pink Breakfast, held a pink-themed fundraiser, or sold pins to support people affected by breast cancer, thank you! Your efforts help fund vital support services and life-changing research.

If you’re ready to lodge your funds, you’ll find all the ways to do that below.

You can also still donate today and be part of something amazing by supporting breast cancer patients when they need it most.

Lodge your funds

If you created a fundraising page, all your donations will be lodged automatically. If you collected funds offline, now is a great time to lodge them so we can put your hard work to use as soon as possible.

There’s still time to make a life-changing donation

If you weren't able to take part this year, you can still help provide vital care and support to people like Katie by making a donation today.

Breast Cancer Awareness

It is important that everyone be breast aware. This means knowing what is normal for you, so that you can spot any changes. While breast cancer is more common in women over 50, those under 50 can also be affected. Learn more

Your impact
How your Big Pink Breakfast makes a difference

The Irish Cancer Society is a community determined to transform cancer as we know it in Ireland. We are pushing for a future where fewer people get cancer, 10 in 10 people survive it, and everyone who needs it has access to the best treatment and care. To achieve this, quite simply, We. Won’t. Stop.

  • Our cancer research and vital free services, such as our Support Line, Transport Service, Daffodil Centres, Cancer information, financial grants, and Night Nursing, are fuelled by fundraising. We typically only receive 5% of our income from the Government, so by taking part in the Big Pink Breakfast, you’re helping to transform the lives of families affected by breast cancer across the country.
  • Thanks to your generosity, breast cancer patients will have access to support throughout their diagnosis. From Cork to Donegal, Galway to Dublin and everywhere in between, your donations are making a difference every day.
  • The more we raise, the more we can do, the more lifesaving research we can fund, the more vital free supports we can provide to everyone facing this disease, and the closer we come to a day when no one dies from breast cancer in Ireland.

This October we're asking you to be breast aware
How to check your breasts?

It is important that everyone be breast aware. This means knowing what is normal for you, so that you can spot any changes. While breast cancer is more common in women over 50, those under 50 can also be affected.

The sooner you notice a change the better, because if cancer is found early, treatment is more likely to be successful. Get into the habit of looking at and feeling your breasts every month. This will help you to notice any change if it occurs.

Learn how to check your breasts

Did you know that each year in Ireland, almost 3,600 women and approximately 30 men are diagnosed with breast cancer? It is more common in women over 50, but it can affect younger women too.
