About suggestions
The Irish Cancer Society Support Line is a supportive information service staffed by experienced cancer nurses where anyone concerned about cancer can get trusted information and advice about any type of cancer

Our Daffodil Centres in 13 hospitals nationwide are staffed by Cancer Nurses and trained volunteers who provide face-to-face advice, support and information for anyone affected by cancer

Our Telephone Interpreting Service helps you to speak to our Cancer Nurses in your own language.

Our Welfare and Supports team can advise on benefits, social welfare entitlements, medical card applications, community support, legal entitlements, childcare and more. Click the link to learn more.

We provide transport and limited financial grants (Travel2Care) for those in need who are in cancer treatment.

We fund professional one-to-one counselling for anyone affected by cancer remotely (over the phone/online) or in person in certain cancer support centres around the country.

If you or someone you know has been affected by cancer, we can support you. We can send you a free cancer Support Packs filled with useful information and resources .

Our free patient education group sessions and video resources provide information to guide you through and beyond cancer treatment.

Eating well and exercise can help you feel better before, during and after cancer treatment. We can provide information and support on maintaining a healthy diet and being physically active.

Peer Support is a free and confidential phone service connecting people with similar cancer experiences. Our volunteers are trained to provide emotional and practical cancer support.
We provide end-of-life care for cancer patients in their own homes, allowing patients to remain at home for the last days of their lives
We also have a range of services to support families affected by a childhood, adolescent and young adult diagnosis.

Every day Edel Brangan speaks to people affected by cancer. This involves answering calls from people diagnosed with cancer, but also from their family and friends.
