What is Peer Support?

If you have a cancer diagnosis, you can be connected with a Peer Support volunteer who has had a similar cancer experience. Peer Support volunteers are fully trained to provide emotional and practical cancer support in a safe, responsible and kind way. This is a free and confidential telephone service.

Who is the Peer Support Service for?

You can get support if you're facing a possible diagnosis, if you've been recently diagnosed or if you're dealing with the side-effects of treatment, including surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy and hormonal therapy.

How do I contact the Peer Support Service?

Talk to one of our Cancer Nurses to be referred to our Peer Support Service. Call our Support Line on Freephone 1800 200 700 or contact your nearest Daffodil Centre.
