If you have been diagnosed with cancer, our patient education programmes are available to you free of charge. Here you can watch the programme videos in your own time.
What is Patient Education?
Patient Education offers free group information sessions online and in person.
Chemotherapy Education
Our cancer nurses provide information to guide you through and beyond your cancer treatment including: what the treatment is, how it is given, managing side effects, and available supports.
Life After Cancer – Enhancing Survivorship (LACES)
LACES offers health and wellbeing information for adult patients who have finished treatment or who are on maintenance therapy and living well with advanced cancer. Our cancer nurses deliver workshops online and face to face in some of our Daffodil Centres.
Pre-treatment education videos
We also have pre-treatment video resources that you can watch in your own time including:
- Radiotherapy
- Immunotherapy and targeted therapies
- Oral anti-cancer medicines
- Hormone therapy

In 2024, over 2,000 people attended one of our patient education group sessions.

Our chemotherapy programme is for patients who are due to begin chemotherapy treatment shortly. In addition to our video resources, our cancer nurses deliver workshops online and face to face in our Daffodil Centres.

Life and Cancer – Enhancing Survivorship (LACES)
Our Life and Cancer – Enhancing Survivorship (LACES) programme is for adult patients who have finished treatment or who are on maintenance therapy and living well with advanced cancer. The LACES workshop can help you to adjust, live well, and feel your best, physically and emotionally.
Our cancer nurses deliver workshops online and face to face in some of our Daffodil Centres.
