It is important for you to know that there are many resources available to you and your colleagues in your school environment. An excellent resource that is available are the Daffodil Centres, which are run by the Irish Cancer Society and are located in a number of hospitals around the country.

The Daffodil Centres are a key source of information and support. Those who need cancer information can drop in for advice and a chat. They can provide you with cancer information booklets and leaflets. They can also advise you on any financial information, entitlements, counselling services or support groups that are available.

Another fantastic resource provided by the Irish Cancer Society is our Support Line, which is manned by dedicated cancer nurses. The calls are confidential and the nurses are ready to listen and support you in any way they can.
