About Shave or Dye
This annual fundraiser raises funds for the Irish Cancer Society's free cancer services, such as our Daffodil Centre support and resource centres located in hospitals across the country.
Each year, thousands of participants get their friends and family to sponsor them to shave or dye their hair. By Shaving, Dying or Messing your hair, you are showing your support for the many thousands of people who are going through, or have gone though, cancer treatment themselves.
Since it began in 2010 Shave or Dye has raised over €7.55 million for the Irish Cancer Society thanks to the generosity and spirit of the Irish public.

Where your money goes
Thanks to your support, we can help more people affected by cancer.
Daffodil Centres are located throughout Ireland. They are a powerful resource offering advice, information and support to people in times of great need. The centres provide information to the patient, their family and friends where they need it most - at the point of diagnosis and treatment.
The ongoing running costs for the Centres are funded through the success of campaigns such as Shave or Dye which is only made possible through the tremendous support of our supporters across the country. Since they opened in 2013 the Daffodil Centres have provided advice, support and information to enquirers at the point where they need it most - the hospital.
The Irish Cancer Society has been developing information and support services for 50 years and is the leading provider of cancer information in Ireland.
The Daffodil Centres are part of the Society's Cancer Information Service which offers advice, information and support to anyone worried about any aspect of cancer prevention, early detection, diagnosis, treatment and care. This service incorporates the Cancer Nurseline (Freefone 1800 200 700: open Mon-Thurs, 9am-7pm and Fri 9am-5pm), email and a walk-in/caller service.
