About Shave or Dye
Shave or Dye raises funds for free cancer support services for patients and their families across the country. Donations help fund our Daffodil Support Centres, Night Nursing, Counselling, Volunteer Driver Service and much more.
Each year, thousands of participants get their friends and family to sponsor them to shave or dye their hair. By Shaving, Dying or Messing your hair, you are showing your support for thousands of people who are going through, or have gone though, cancer treatment themselves.
This summer, we are asking you to join the Shave or Dye club too!
I shaved my head!! It was a great experience… Throughout my years I have experienced friends and family dealing with grief over their loved ones passing away from cancer and I decided to support the Irish Cancer Society by doing this!
I thought it would be a great idea to hold an event like this in the school that I work in, Davis College, Mallow. I got the teachers involved in shaving the hair and hopefully the students learned that it didn’t matter how silly I looked, the most important thing was to help people that are going through a really tough time.
