Where your money goes

Breast Cancer hasn’t stopped and neither will we.

Your support is more important than ever before. Your tremendous fundraising helps ensure that no one has to face breast cancer on their own.

Your fundraising and donations support:

Cancer Nurses

A diagnosis can be overwhelming, our Cancer Nurses are there to provide free information and advice for breast cancer patients and their loved ones through the Cancer Supportline Freephone 1800 200 700, online, and in-person at our Daffodil Centres in hospitals across Ireland.

Emotional Support

We offer emotional support for breast cancer patients and the loved ones of patients who are finding it hard to deal with a cancer diagnosis. Through our Survivor Support Programme, newly diagnosed breast cancer patients are connected to breast cancer survivor volunteers who provide one-to-one support in person or over the phone. We also fund free counselling for people affected by breast cancer in communities across the country.

Practical support

For some breast cancer patients, the main concern after diagnosis is how will I get to my treatment.
Thanks to your support we can take that worry away. For breast cancer patients undergoing treatment, we provide help getting to and from treatments in hospital through our Volunteer Driver Service and Financial Aid programme.

Night Nurses

Night Nurses provide in-home, end of life care for breast cancer patients who are not going to survive their diagnosis so that the patient can spend their remaining days in the comfort of their homes, surrounded by their loved ones. With Hospitals understandably stricter on visitors this services is more important now than ever before.

Information

A cancer diagnosis can be overwhelming and it can be hard to take in everything you are told. We produce and maintain free information on breast cancer to help patients understand. Our booklets are available through www.cancer.ie and our breast cancer leaflets and booklets available for free on our website.

These services simply would not exist without the generosity of people like you. In these unprecedented times we have seen an increase in demand across many of our vital cancer services.

With your support we can work hard to ensure this increased need is met and no breast cancer patient is left to face their diagnosis alone.
