Our Cancer Nurses offer confidential advice, support and information for anyone affected by cancer.
Daffodil Centres
Our Daffodil Centres in 13 hospitals nationwide are staffed by Cancer Nurses and trained volunteers who provide face-to-face advice, support and information for anyone affected by cancer.

We are here for you during your treatment journey

We have a range of free services to help you, including counselling and patient education programmes to help you understand and prepare for treatment. Our Cancer Nurses are available to answer any questions you might have, refer you to helpful free services and offer support. 

We have tips to help you during treatment, such as advice on talking to doctors and preparing for appointments.

Coping with a cancer diagnosis

A cancer diagnosis can be overwhelming. We have lots of information on coping with your diagnosis including how to cope with treatment, coping with your feelings, talking to others about your diagnosis, practical matters and more. 

If you need to talk, our Cancer Nurses are here for you. Call them on Freephone 1800 200 700 or visit a Daffodil Centre. Ask them about free counselling and other services to help you.

Patient Education

In our free Patient Education videos, healthcare professionals in cancer care provide information to guide you through and beyond your treatment including: what the treatment is, how it is given, managing side-effects, and available supports. Our cancer nurses also deliver in-person chemotherapy education in our Daffodil Centres.

Coping with side-effects and symptoms

Side-effects and symptoms vary from person to person and depend mainly on the type and amount of treatment you're having. There are treatments to help with most side-effects and symptoms, so always tell your medical team if you need support.
