LACES stands for ‘Life And Cancer - Enhancing Survivorship’. It also brings to mind the idea of pulling together, of getting ready, and of being prepared. LACES allows us to tie together information from many sources and enables us to take steps forward.

It is about you working with us to improve the quality of your life after your cancer treatment. Whether you're dealing with the psychological effects of your treatment, whether you're dealing with the physical effects of your treatment, it is very important that you access advice, information and support which is trusted, which is validated, and which is appropriate for you.

The Daffodil Centres are information hubs, where anyone can access information in relation to cancer services. The Daffodil nurses are ideally placed to provide the information today because of their clinical knowledge and understanding of services throughout the country. They complement the work of clinical teams and hospitals.

All in all, the workshop will take about 90 minutes, so sit back, enjoy, and hopefully you will get something really meaningful from this workshop today.

We will also have modules on ‘Family Finance and ‘Work Life’, ‘Confidence, Body Image and Intimacy’, and we will finish with modules on ‘Rehabilitation and Empowerment’ and also bring you information on ‘Supports Near You’.
