She can be found around the playrooms, wards and clinic areas of the hospital. See posters in the hospital for times / days that she is available or ask staff when she will be in. Come and see her if you have any questions, need support or just want someone to talk to. It’s free and confidential.
For parents
Come and talk to our children’s cancer nurse. Whether you have questions about cancer, treatment or side-effects, or if you just want to talk, our nurse is here to support you. She can also tell you about:
- Our services for families, such as financial support and help with transport.
- What else is available in your local area.
For Health Care Professionals ( HCP's)
Our children’s cancer nurse can give up-to-date information on Irish Cancer Society services to support families affected by childhood cancer. For example, details of our new Volunteer Driver Children’s Transport service, our Night Nursing for children, our phone support and our childhood cancer booklets and web information.
